بررسی خواص مکانیکی و ضربه ویژه پیشرانه جامد مرکب بر پایه آمیزه HTPB/PEG و نرم‌کننده بوتیل‌ننا

Abstract:

A way to increase the specific impulse of solid propellants is using the energetic components as energetic binder or energetic plasticizer in the propellant formulations. Hydroxy terminated poly butadiene (HTPB) is the one of pre-polymer which was specifically synthesized for its use as a propellant. Incorporating of PEG into HTPB chains lead to increasing the polarity of binder and maybe prevent to the polar plasticizer migration. In this study, in the first step, elastomers of HTPB/PEG blend are prepared and their mechanical and thermal properties are investigated. Then, the propellants based-on HTPB/PEG blend are prepared and their mechanical properties are compared to the propellants based-on HTPB binder. Incorporating of PEG into binder, lead to increasing the stress and elongation of the propellant and also, influences its oxygen balance. In the solid propellant based-on 75% solid loading, theoretical and semi experience specific impulse was increased by the addition of BuNENA up to 7.9s and 6.9s.

اثر مقدار دی‌مریل دی‌ایزوسیانات بر رفتاررئولوژیکی و خواص مکانیکی یک پیشرانه جامد مرکب بر پایه HTPB

Several parameters affecting the rheological and mechanical properties of solid composite propellants.  Among them, the molar ratio of isocyanate (NCO) to hydroxyl (OH) groups (R value) is one of the important factors. In this research, the effects of changing in the weight ratio of dimeryl diisocyanate (DDI) curing agent related to hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene investigated on different pr...

مروری بر روش های بهبود خواص مکانیکی پیشرانه های جامد مرکب بر پایه GAP (علمی-ترویجی)

GAP propellants has good performance due to high energy of this polymer. Unfortunately, due to poor flexibility of GAP polymer and presence of rigid and conjugated azide side groups in its structure, they have poor mechanical properties especially under low temperatures. This article deals with methods of improving mechanical properties of solid composite propellants based on GAP through changi...
